What to Expect
Veterinary Service with Courtesy & Respect!
As a new client to Rouge River Animal Hospital in Markham, you can expect our full attention to your pets’ needs. Our service will be provided with courtesy and respect.
To ensure a proper diagnosis, we often need to examine your pet. We begin the physical exam by looking at your pet’s eyes, ears, and skin and then checking his or her cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities. We will perform blood and/or urine tests as necessary to check your pet’s kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system, including the thyroid and adrenal glands. Based on your pet’s condition, we may recommend further diagnostic tests, such as radiography (x-rays), endoscopy (internal scoping), ultrasound, or biopsy.\
Appointments are preferable however we do accept walk-ins. Often there is increased waiting time with walk-ins that clients and especially our pets do not prefer. Dr. Campolongo prides herself on seeing clients at the scheduled time and usually her appointments are 30 minutes in length. Emergencies do happen that need to be seen immediately.
We are excited to meet you and your human and animal family members!
