Spring brings the start of heartworm season!

April showers bring May flowers but warmer weather also signifies the start of our heartworm/flea/tick preventive season.   Ontario is still very much a pocket area for heartworm because of the mosquito which carrries it and of course we live by bodies of water called the Great Lakes.  2013 was a peak season for ticks/fleas and heartworm and so testing is recommended prior to the start of prevention.  We have very safe and effective options for both cats and dogs.  Please give us a call to arrange an appointment.  This can also be done online in the booking section of this website.  Stay tuned for more information.  Visit www.dogsandticks.com  .
